Hello everyone,
E-Cycles 3.0 and 3.1 were updated.
- New feature: Light Linking now works with instances and will add the light IDs from the objects to the light IDs of the parent/"instantiator" object (3.0 and 3.1)
- New feature: included the new MNEE caustics patch by Olivier Maury to E-Cycles Pro 2022 as an experimental feature. You can find the builds in the "builds with manifold caustics" folder. (3.1, quick tutorial in silent movie style available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OlS1HCAmJiA)
- fix: Light Linking now works properly with high sun angles/size (3.0 and 3.1)
- fix: rendering with border render overlay in a empty slot now works again (3.0 and 3.1)
Other changes made since the 20211127 release:
- New feature: experimental HIP support
- The Pro version of E-Cycles is back with support for CUDA (with HIP experimental) and CPU rendering to offer the Pro features for GTX, Intel and AMD users too (Animation Denoising uses OptiX and requires the RTX version)
- New feature: invert option for light linking
- New feature: option to render all scenes with background render
- Fix: support for old non-AVX processors (may be removed in 3.1 and up)
Happy rendering!
Mathieu

I have a Mac running an Nvidia eGPU. Is it compatible?
E-Cycles 2.93 is compatible with CUDA. E-Cycles 3.x requires Metal support for GPU rendering. For NVidia + Metal, it's up to Apple to decide if they will update the driver to make it compatible with their own API.
